The CMR-5975 Digicast Media Router S2 is the next-generation replacement for the widely deployed CMR-5970, introducing substantial improvements across hardware, management, and reliability.
It now supports 1:1 redundancy for mission-critical networks, features an enhanced LNB power circuit configurable to 0V, 13V, and 18V delivering 600mA sustained (vs. 350mA previously) with integrated short-circuit protection, and offers expanded SNMP monitoring including Eb/No, Es/No, lock state traps, and redundancy switchover events.
Built on a next-generation hardware platform, the unit features a lightweight aluminum chassis that significantly decreases weight to just 600g, a larger FPGA for future-proof processing headroom, and full RoHS compliance. At its core is an embedded architecture based on the FreeScale MPC859 CPU running the eCOS real-time operating system.
The router provides an integrated Web Server, Streaming Media Server, and File Server to deliver IP multimedia directly to a Desktop PC or LAN, making it ideal for enterprise distribution, ISP backhaul, and digital signage over satellite.
